The prostate specific antigen (PSA) is a glycoprotein (serine protease) with a molecular mass of 34 kD, which produces the prostate gland in men (prostate) to liquefy the seminal fluid.
Note
In small amounts, the PSA also produced in women in small, situated next to the urethral glands.
